Journalism that sees women clearly

Woman Up Network exists because mainstream media still treats women as a niche. As a demographic to be reached, not an audience to be served. We built something different — a bilingual digital media network where women's stories are the main story, not the sidebar.

We cover leadership, business, politics, culture, health, and finance through a lens that centres women's lived experience. We don't do clickbait. We don't do condescension. We do deep reporting, honest opinion, and community that actually gives a damn.

"We're not disrupting media. We're building what it should have been all along."

— Natacha Degazon, Founder & Editor-in-Chief
Our values
Unapologetic Voice
We don't soften our coverage to avoid controversy. We report what we see, say what we mean, and stand behind every word.
Community First
Our readers aren't an audience. They're a community. Every editorial decision asks: does this serve the women we're here for?
Bilingual by Design
EN and FR aren't translations of each other. They're distinct editorial voices for distinct communities — both equally centred.
Editorial Independence
No advertisers influence our coverage. No sponsors dictate our editorial line. Our only obligation is to our readers.
Excellence Over Volume
We publish less than most. Every piece earns its place. Quality journalism takes time — and our readers' time is worth respecting.
Women in Full
Not as mothers, wives, or victims. Not as exceptions or inspirations. As full human beings with complex, powerful, contradictory lives.

Natacha Degazon
Founder · Editor-in-Chief · Woman Up Network

Natacha Degazon spent 20 years in legacy media — rising to VP of Digital Content at CBC before walking away to build the publication she always wanted to work for.

Born in Montréal to a Haitian father and Québécoise mother, Natacha has always lived at the intersection of cultures, languages, and identities. That experience — of never quite fitting the assumed audience — is what drives every editorial decision at Woman Up Network.

"I spent two decades making media for women that women didn't actually want. I finally decided to stop asking permission and just build it."
